Welcome to Rochester Youth Hockey!

RYHA is dedicated to promoting, organizing, and facilitating a program dedicated to recreation, sportsmanship, and excellence in youth hockey in Rochester, Minnesota. The program is specifically designed for all ages in youth hockey.

Our program starts for both boys and girls at the youngest levels with Mite Hockey. For more information on Mite hockey click on the Mite Hockey tab. Our girl’s program levels are 10U, 12U and 15U. For the boys the levels are Squirts (9&10), Pewees (11&12), and Bantams (13&14).

Boosters Director Vacancy Announcement

The elected position of Booster Director has become vacant. If you have interest in filling this vacancy please contact Shawn Hookey  (shawn@ryha.net) or Andy Cousin (andy@ryha.net). The vacancy will be appointed for the remainder of the 2021-2022 season and will be an elected position at the annual election of board members in 2022.

Little Grizzlies

The Rochester Grizzlies, in partnership with Scheels and RYHA, are pleased to announce the Little Grizzlies program.

 

The Little Grizzlies program is intended for first-time boys and girls hockey players ages 4-9. Eligible participants must be between the ages of 4-9 as of September 1, 2021. All children who have participated in organized hockey, are ineligible to participate.

 

For the low cost of $125 + processing fee, all participants will receive a full set of hockey equipment (excluding a stick), and 2 on ice sessions! The dates for the ice sessions are July 24th 7:15am-8:15am and August 7th 8:45am-9:45am. Fitting dates are June 15th 5pm-9pm and June 19th 10am-1pm.

The Registration "Rochester Youth Hockey Association" is not currently available.

Covid Info

A summary of the current COVID-19 guidelines: 

  • No entry to the building until 10 minutes before your scheduled time.
  • Please leave the building within 10 minutes of your ice time concluding.
  • Masks are always to be worn at all times for players, coaches, and spectators
  • No spectators for practices except for 8U (Mite) players
  • A maximum of 2 spectators per player are allowed for games.
  • All spectators in Rochester need to use the Check-In process for games (or practices for Mites)
    • Use the link provided on the RYHA website or scan the QR code on arena doors.
  • Assigned locker space with social distancing will be available in arenas.
    • For RYHA activities, locker rooms are limited to 7 seats.  The remaining seating is outside of locker rooms.
    • No pre or post game team meetings is allowed in locker rooms.
  • No dryland training is allowed in the building at this time. 
  • The pro shop, skate sharpening, and concession stand will remain closed at this time. 
  • There are specific ENTRY and EXIT doors at each rink, follow provided signage.
